Today marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, and the waning of winter, leading us out of the darkness and towards the light!

It is also known as Imbolc, Candlemas, Groundhog day, or St Brigid’s Day. Brigid is associated with this Celtic goddess associated with poetry, fertility, healing and the arts. Like the Roman goddess Minerva, the Greek goddess Athena, and the Hindu goddess Saraswati, Brigid is a goddess who was seen as a source of wisdom and knowledge.

This is a time to connect to our inner wisdom we have gained during the winter months and bring that in to the active part of the year. A time of awakenings and new beginnings, charged with the potency of this rising energy.

This has been a particularly true in my own life over these past couple of months. A deep sense of digging deep into what makes my heart sing, putting much energy into my study of Ayurveda, Astrology + Herbalism and then seeing this being pulled out into the world. My passion and commitment to these teachings have come bubbling to the surface through new courses and products. It feels like a calling so deep in my bones, that I cannot contain it!

You will see this upward rising energy through the many new course and products coming out, all blended with herbalism, Ayurveda and Yoga.

This is also true for my marketing and branding of my company. Throughout the next few months, you will see a new website, new logo, and new branding of tea. 2018 is proving to be a year of renewal and fresh starts. My herbal tea company has grown up and its time to get her some new clothes!

For someone who likes to see things in order, and laid out nicely, it has been a challenge to try and encapsulate all that we have grown to do and offer. You see, I am not only a Registered Herbalist, I am also an Ayurvedic yoga instructor, meditation teacher, intuitive, and run special events and weddings at the farm. How do I put this all into something tangible so when people visit my website, they know exactly what I have to offer? I have often heard people call me “the tea lady”, which is how it all started. But as the years have gone by, I have continued to grow in my practice, adding to my repertoire as I go. To me, all of my work is so intertwined it is hard to separate it. You see, I create healing herbal blends, which has intuition, Ayurveda and meditation rolled into the process of making and creating. When I teach yoga, I follow the Ayurvedic seasons, the moon cycles and link herbal teas into each class. When I work with clients individually, I use a blend of clinical herbalism, Ayurveda, yoga, and intuition to connect and create formulas. Well, it seems I just need to own all of it and call it Jane Magri.

We are all our own unique blend, with different flavor notes and accents. The goal for me, is to continue to keep that steady undertone and truth of who I am, to speak and work from the heart, and let go of making it all fit into a box. To hold space for everyone who comes to the farm, and accept also, that my unique blend may not be everyone’s cup of tea!
